Plastic electrical Box Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need design for a plastic electrical outlet boxes. The concept must be ready for manufacturing, so I’m looking for someone who can turn the rough dimensions and functional requirements I give you into production-ready files.
You’ll take care of the enclosure geometry, mounting provisions, internal standoffs, sealing details (as appropriate to meet basic indoor IP standards), and any code-compliant knockouts. Material is injection-moldable plastic, so I’ll rely on you to account for draft angles, uniform wall thickness, and other DFM considerations.
Deliverables
• 3D CAD model (STEP or SolidWorks format)
• 2D manufacturing drawings with critical dimensions and tolerances
• An exploded view or assembly guide that clarifies mounting and wiring paths
• Short design note explaining material choice, fasteners, and any compliance assumptions
I’ll provide installation constraints, component sizes, and any certification targets once we start. If you have previous enclosures in your portfolio, please mention them so I can gauge style and practicality. Let’s create a robust, easy-to-install box that’s ready for tooling.
