Plastic Welding Panel Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need help turning my rough sketches for the front and back panels of a new welding machine into production-ready plastic parts. I already know the approximate footprint, mounting points, and where the main ports sit, but I rely on you to refine those early numbers, add proper draft angles, wall thicknesses, ribs, and create a clean, manufacturable design.
The panels will be molded from plastic, so your experience with enclosure design, fillet management, and boss placement is essential. I’m open to your suggestions on the best way to integrate common features—perhaps control buttons, a display, or ventilation slots—provided everything still fits the chassis dimensions I’ll share at the start.
Deliverables
• Parametric 3D CAD models of both panels (STEP plus native file)
• Fully dimensioned 2D drawings ready for tooling or CNC quotes
• Assembly view showing how the panels fasten to the main housing
• Brief material/fastener note highlighting resin grade, inserts, or screws you recommend
