Plastic Prototype CAD & Fabrication

Job ID: 39950282

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I have a concept that needs to move quickly from idea to a test-ready prototype. I’m looking for someone who can shape the design in CAD, generate a clean 3D model, and deliver a plastic prototype suitable for basic functional testing.

Scope
• Translate my sketches and notes into a simple but accurate 3D model (basic outline level of detail is fine).
• Advise on the best plastic and printing method (FDM, SLA, or similar) to balance strength and cost.
• Produce print-ready files (STL/OBJ) and any supporting drawings needed by the machine shop or printer.
• Fabricate one physical unit and confirm dimensional accuracy before shipping.

Success means I receive both the digital files and a plastic part that matches the agreed dimensions and can withstand light handling during initial tests. If minor tweaks emerge after the first print, a quick revision loop is included so the final piece is truly test-ready.

Experience with SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or comparable CAD tools—and hands-on 3D printing—will help this move smoothly. Let me know your turnaround time, which printer or service you plan to use, and any past examples of similar prototypes you’ve built.
