Key points I need solved
• The nail-catching chamber must be the star feature. It should trap 100 % of standard fingernail and toenail clippings and stay shut during use.
• Emptying the chamber should be effortless—one intuitive motion with no loose parts.
• The overall size and cutting force should match a typical drug-store clipper so the learning curve is zero.

Material preference
The body, lever, or outer shell can incorporate metal where cutting strength is required, but the main housing and chamber solution should be plastic or rubber so the finished product feels light and is injection-mold friendly.
