Mechanical Concept Design Support
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m at the very first, conceptual-design stage of a new mechanical product and I need a seasoned engineer to help turn early ideas into robust, manufacturable concepts. You’ll work with me to explore alternatives, shape the overall architecture, and document everything clearly enough that we can move on to detailed design or prototyping without back-tracking.
Here’s what I’m looking for from you:
• Collaborative exploration of concept options and their trade-offs
• Rapid sketches or 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor—use the package you’re fastest in) that communicate form, mechanism, and critical dimensions
• Preliminary strength, motion, or thermal calculations in Excel, FEA, or any quick-turn simulation tool you trust, just detailed enough to flag risk areas
• A short concept report summarising assumptions, materials, off-the-shelf components considered, and your recommendations for next steps
If you’re comfortable bouncing between white-board ideation and quick CAD or FEA validation—and you can package the above into a concise hand-off document—let’s talk.
