Mac-inspired ATX Tower CAD Design

Job ID: 39959972

Budget: $20 – $30 NZD

I have an existing Mac Pro-inspired tower shell (aluminium “cheese-grater” front) and need a CAD designer to create a full internal structure suitable for housing a server-class build (AMD EPYC + SSI-EEB/E-ATX board).

Goal: keep the exterior aesthetic but make it manufacturable via CNC/laser-cut sheet-metal with proper mounts and airflow.

You will:

- Design motherboard tray (SSI-EEB/E-ATX 305×330 mm) with standoffs, I/O, 7–8 PCI slots.
- Add PSU bracket (bottom mount 150×86 mm ATX) and IEC C14 cut-out.
- Integrate 4× 3.5″ HDD + 2× 2.5″ SSD cages (vibration-isolated).
- Include cable-routing grommets (~25 mm clearance behind tray).
- Add fan/radiator mounts: front 3× 120 mm or 2× 140 mm, rear 1× 120 mm, top 2× 120 mm or 240 mm.
- Ensure front perforation ≥ 40 % open area for airflow.
- If you've read the project - please include the word firefly somewhere and tell me what your ideas could be
- Design for manufacturability (bend radii, K-factor, ±0.25 mm fit tolerance).
- Provide all fastener locations (M4 socket-cap, brass standoffs).

Deliverables:
- Full 3D assembly (STEP / IGES + native CAD).
- DXF flat patterns + bend tables for CNC/laser fabrication.
- Ask me how my day is going to demonstrate you've read the description fully
- Dimensioned drawings (PDF) + exploded view and BOM.
