Industrial Steel Door Design
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I need a full engineering design package for a 6.5 m-wide by 2.2 m-high industrial steel door that includes an integrated personnel-sized pass door. The goal is a strictly functional solution—strong, reliable and easy to fabricate—rather than a decorative showpiece.
Key requirements
• Overall door panel: 6 500 mm × 2 200 mm, steel construction suitable for workshop or warehouse use.
• Built-in man door: sized for comfortable daily foot traffic, flush-mounted so the larger door can still seal correctly.
• Locking: manual system only (no electronics). Please specify a robust, readily available lockset and how it interfaces with both the main and pass doors.
• Operation: hinge or track mechanism is up to you, provided it supports the door’s weight and allows smooth opening with minimal maintenance.
• Structural integrity: account for wind loads, door deflection and self-weight; specify frame members, sheet thicknesses and reinforcement as needed.
Deliverables
1. 3D model (SolidWorks, Inventor, or STEP).
2. Workshop drawings with all dimensions, tolerances and weld symbols.
3. Bill of materials listing profiles, plates, hinges, seals and lock hardware.
4. Brief calculation note or FEA screenshots demonstrating that the design meets typical industrial wind-load criteria.
Files must be production-ready so a fabricator can cut, weld and assemble without further detailing.
