Industrial Field Mower Robot Concept

Job ID: 40355801

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I am developing an autonomous mowing machine designed specifically for large open fields and need a complete concept model to move the idea from rough notes into a clearly defined, build-ready vision. The robot’s core jobs are straightforward: mow grass efficiently while continuously detecting and avoiding obstacles it may meet in the field.

You will translate these goals into a coherent concept that blends mechanical layout, sensor placement, drivetrain choices and an exterior form that makes maintenance easy and operation reliable. I am not tied to any particular software, but models produced in SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or a comparable mainstream CAD package will let me iterate with my fabrication partners.

Deliverables
• High-level sketches or mood boards that show the overall look and proportions
• A detailed 3D CAD assembly with major subsystems (cutting deck, powertrain, sensor suite, battery compartment) called out
• Basic kinematic or clearance study proving the deck can cover uneven ground without scalping
• Obstacle-detection concept: suggested sensor types and mounting positions with wiring paths indicated
• Exploded view plus PDF drawings suitable for early cost estimates

Acceptance criteria
• Cutting width and chassis footprint fit typical agricultural gates (I will supply exact limits once we start).
• All sensors have clear, unobstructed fields of view while remaining protected from debris.
• Model opens cleanly in the native CAD package and in STEP format with no missing parts.

If you have prior experience on outdoor robotics or turf-care machines, please mention it along with any relevant portfolio links so I can gauge fit quickly. I’m ready to start as soon as I see a concise plan for the concept phase and your estimated timeline for the first review files.
