Industrial CAD Design for CNC Enclosure
Budget: £2,500 – £3,000 GBP
We are developing a handheld medical device and need an experienced industrial designer to create a premium, ergonomic outer enclosure for CNC manufacturing. The electronics is already developed; this scope is purely industrial design and mechanical enclosure development (no PCB or firmware work required).
At Dotplot we're building a wireless breast health monitoring device and are now entering a focused design sprint phase.
Scope of work:
- Design a premium outer enclosure for a handheld device that is comfortable to hold and use for 10 minutes
- Develop mechanical enclosure architecture for existing PCB + transducer and ensure the design meets CNC (or similar) manufacturing requirements
- Define material and surface finish
- Create files essential for model making and ideally liaise directly with the prototyping partners (CNC/SLS/etc.) to source and assemble the enclosure properly.
