Household Item Mould & Design
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
I have a new household product concept that now needs to move from idea to production-ready files. What I’m after is a complete package: industrial product design of the part itself together with the full injection-mould design so a toolmaker can start cutting steel without further tweaks.
Scope
• Translate my rough sketches and functional notes into a clean 3D model.
• Optimise the geometry for injection moulding—proper draft angles, uniform wall thickness, and clear parting lines.
• Design the corresponding mould: core & cavity layout, cooling channels, ejection system, gate selection, runner layout, and bill of materials.
• Supply native CAD (SolidWorks or similar) plus neutral STEP/IGES files, 2D manufacturing drawings, and a short DFM report.
What I already have
Basic hand-drawn sketches, key dimensions, material preference (PP or ABS), and target production volume. I’ll share these once we start.
Acceptance criteria
1. CAD passes a quick mould-flow check with no major sink, warp, or fill issues.
2. All drawings are toleranced and use ISO standards.
3. Files open error-free in SolidWorks 2022 and in a generic viewer (e.g., eDrawings or FreeCAD).
4. Final mould design is signed off by my preferred toolmaker with no requested rework.
If you’re comfortable taking a household plastic part from concept to mould-ready documentation, I’m ready to begin right away and can respond quickly to questions or feedback.
