Horse Barn Grading & Drainage Site plan Survey
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I’m preparing to build a new horse barn and need a precise grading and drainage survey to fold into my permit set. Detailed architectural and site plans are already in CAD and PDF; what’s missing is a civil package that confirms elevations, steers runoff away from the barn and paddocks, and satisfies local code.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Review the existing topographic data (or collect fresh field shots if required) and verify benchmarks.
• Generate a detailed grading plan that ties into the barn slab, drive aisles, and turnout areas, preventing ponding and erosion.
• Lay out swales, culverts, and any detention or retention features, complete with pipe sizing and slopes.
• Provide a concise drainage report with calculations and a narrative suitable for permit submission.
• Supply stamped drawings in both PDF and DWG so my GC can drop them straight into the construction set.
Familiarity with equestrian or agricultural facilities is a plus, as is experience meeting county storm-water regulations. Please outline your approach, timeline, and the software you’ll use (Civil 3D, MicroStation, etc.) when you reply.
