Home Appliance Prototype Design
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I have an early-stage concept for a new home-appliance and now need it translated into a manufacturable prototype. I’m looking for an experienced product designer who has already handled kitchen or small domestic devices and is comfortable moving from rough sketches to a functional, presentation-ready model.
Here’s what I expect:
• Refine the existing concept into a clear form factor and user-friendly layout.
• Produce detailed 3D CAD files (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) with proper tolerances for plastic and metal parts.
• Generate photorealistic renders that communicate materials, finishes, and user interaction.
• Supply an assembly drawing, exploded views, and a basic bill of materials suitable for a first round of sourcing.
• Optional but valued: guidance on off-the-shelf components, motor or heating elements, and preparation of files for rapid prototyping (SLA/SLS or CNC).
I’ll provide the current sketches, target dimensions, and key functional requirements as soon as we start. Please share examples of comparable appliance or consumer-product work, note your preferred CAD platform, and outline your typical turnaround for an iterative prototype phase.
