Hollow Spherical Ornament 3D Model
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m putting together a simple, smooth-surfaced Christmas ornament that I’ll first prototype on an SLA resin printer and later adapt for blow-mold production. All I need is a watertight, hollow sphere with a uniform wall thickness of about 2 mm—nothing fancy, no textures or engravings, just a clean surface that will print without trouble.
Please build the CAD so it’s friendly to common tools such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360, then export the manufacturing mesh at high resolution. Once finished, send me:
• A print-ready STL that passes standard mesh checks (no non-manifold edges, self-intersections, or open faces)
• The editable STEP file so I can tweak or add production features down the road
If you’re comfortable designing for both SLA printing and eventual blow-molding, this should be straightforward. I’m happy to answer questions quickly, and I’ll verify fit and finish by slicing and running a small test print as soon as I receive the files.
*See image - the tube would not be needed, leave it off.
