High-Efficiency AC Condenser Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m developing a new line of split-system air conditioners and have reached the stage where the condenser demands a purpose-built, high-efficiency solution. This is squarely a component design job: the whole focus is the condenser, not the compressor or evaporator.
The goal is to maximise heat-rejection performance within a compact footprint while keeping the design practical for mass production. Once we connect I’ll provide target capacity, airflow and envelope limits, along with existing system drawings and performance data. Aluminium micro-channel, enhanced-fin copper, or any hybrid approach is acceptable so long as the stated efficiency target is met.
Deliverables
• 3D CAD model of the complete condenser assembly and detailed 2D production drawings
• Thermal calculations or CFD evidence confirming capacity, pressure-drop and airflow compliance
• Bill of materials with preferred alloys, tube/fin specs and suggested vendors
• Concise manufacturing and assembly guidelines covering brazing or mechanical joining steps
Native files in SolidWorks or ANSYS are preferred, but STEP/IGES is fine. Prior experience optimising condensers for SEER or EER gains will stand out; feel free to share relevant patents, test reports or case studies. I’d like an initial concept ready for review within two weeks of kickoff, with iterative refinements to follow until the performance numbers are locked in.
