Handheld Paper Scroller Mechanism Optimization

Job ID: 40174952

Budget: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 INR

I’ve built a small handheld paper-scrolling device, and the core mechanism works—but it still feels like a rough prototype, not something a factory can produce reliably. I need a mechanical designer to refine the internal drive system (gears, shafts, guides) so it’s clean, repeatable, and ready for scalable manufacturing.

**What I need:**
• Re-engineer the gear and shaft system so parts can be easily molded or machined without complex secondary operations.
• Define tolerances, draft angles, fasteners, and a simple assembly sequence.
• Deliver updated CAD (STEP), 2D drawings with basic GD&T, and a small BOM.
• Provide one functional prototype set in composite or similar material that fits into my existing housing.

**Success looks like:**
The scroll mechanism advances smoothly for 500+ cycles with no binding, and every part matches the approved drawings.

SolidWorks or Fusion 360 preferred, but any CAD that exports clean STEP files is fine. If you’ve turned early-stage concepts into manufacturing-ready mechanisms before, I’d love to work with you.
