Grill Trim Bracket CAD Redesign

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I need a fresh CAD take on the front-grill trim bracket for a Holden VF HSV Senator. I don’t have an original part to hand you, so the job starts with reverse-engineering from two resources I will supply: high-resolution photos of the bracket installed on other cars and a detailed mesh scan of the grill surface it must attach to.

Your model must hug that scan perfectly, respecting existing clearances, clip points and screw landings, while fixing any fit or strength issues the stock part was known for. I plan to 3D-print the first prototype, so the file has to be fully parametric (no dumb solids) and export cleanly to both STEP and STL.

Deliverables
• Native CAD file (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Inventor, Creo—your choice) with editable feature tree
• STEP and print-ready STL generated from that model

I’ll verify fit by overlaying your geometry on the provided mesh and by test printing, so please keep critical dimensions tied to reference planes and leave room for a ±0.15 mm FDM tolerance. If questions pop up around attachment strategy or wall thickness, just flag them early so we can lock decisions before finalising.
