3D Gargoyle Camera Housing Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Project Title
3D CAD Model for Sculptural Gargoyle Camera Housing (for Fiberglass Prototype)
Project Description
I’m seeking a skilled 3D CAD designer or digital sculptor to create a production-ready model of a small architectural ornament — a modern gargoyle-style housing designed to enclose a compact security camera.
This model will be used to produce a fiberglass-reinforced resin prototype, so it needs both sculptural detail and manufacturable geometry.
Project Details:
Object: Gargoyle-inspired wall ornament / camera housing
Approximate Size: 12–16 inches (30–40 cm) tall
Mounting: Wall-mounted backplate or key-slot; hollow interior
Camera Integration: Aperture or cavity for a small dome-type security camera (similar to Hikvision or Nest)
Material for Fabrication: Fiberglass-reinforced resin (FRP)
Look & Feel: Stone-like surface texture, detailed but stylized; think Gothic meets modern minimalism
Use Case: Outdoor installation (so proper drainage, realistic wall thickness, UV-resistant finish planning)
Deliverables:
Editable STEP and STL files ready for fabrication
Model with proper wall thickness (2–3 mm) and mounting geometry
Separate file or sub-assembly for the camera aperture/insert
(Optional) simple renderings or turntable animation for presentation
What I’ll Provide:
Concept sketches / moodboard images
Reference photos of desired stone texture and overall shape
Camera reference dimensions
Ideal Designer:
Experience with sculptural or architectural modeling
Familiar with preparing parts for resin casting, FRP, or 3D printing
Comfortable blending aesthetic design and manufacturability
Budget: $300–$600 (depending on detail level and number of revisions)
Timeline: 2–3 weeks from project start
Please include:
Portfolio samples of similar sculptural or product models
Your preferred software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino, ZBrush, etc.)
Any advice on preparing the model for fiberglass or resin fabrication
