Forklift Cage & Guard Design

I need a complete engineering design for a steel forklift safety cage and overhead cover guard that integrates side doors and a front glass panel. All work must follow our internal company-specific guidelines; I will supply these documents as soon as we agree on the project so you can align dimensions, weld symbols, and safety clearances accordingly.

Key functional points
• Structure in carbon steel, sized for the standard 3-ton forklift mast we use.
• Side doors must be configurable as either fixed or quickly removable, so please propose hinge and latch arrangements that make the swap simple without weakening the frame.
• A framed front glass section (laminated safety glass) should tie in cleanly with the roof panel and preserve forward visibility. Vent slots and wiper mounting holes are required.

Deliverables
- 3D CAD model (SolidWorks or Inventor preferred, STEP for cross-platform use)
- Detailed fabrication drawings with bill of materials and cut lists
- Exploded assembly PDF to guide our welding crew
- Brief design report explaining load calculations, chosen steel grades, and door change-over procedure

Acceptance
I will review the CAD files against our guideline checklist and run the drawings through our internal FEA verification. Full approval is granted once the model passes and the drawing package is ready for shop release.
