I need a foldable 3-dimensional structure built primarily from metal that can be deployed outdoors and locked into working position in minutes. It is intended for construction-site use, so quick assembly with minimal tools is the driving requirement, followed closely by weather-resistant strength once opened.

The job covers the full design cycle: concept refinement, kinematic layout of the folding mechanism, structural verification, and fabrication-ready documentation. When we kick off I will share overall footprint, target loads, and the maximum crew size/time allowed for deployment so you can optimise hinge placement, locking hardware, and material gauges. Feel free to suggest alloys or protective finishes that balance durability with manageable weight.
