Foldable Drone CAD Design Needed
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I need a complete CAD model for a foldable drone purpose-built for aerial photography. Portability is key, so the arms must tuck in smoothly without adding bulk, and the final layout should channel airflow efficiently around the frame to keep the craft stable while the camera is rolling.
I am leaning toward lightweight plastics for the structure, but I am open to integrated inserts or fasteners in other materials if that helps the folding joints last longer. The design has to maintain excellent stability in hover and during gentle maneuvers, so please shape the body and prop guards with aerodynamics in mind and leave room for a gimbal-mounted camera up front.
Preferred tools are Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or a comparable professional CAD package that allows me to review assemblies, motion studies, and basic airflow simulations. If you can run a quick CFD pass to confirm that the ducting and vent placement prevent heat pockets around the motors and flight controller, that will be a big plus.
Deliverables
• Native CAD file of the full assembly, including all moving joints
• Exploded view or motion study showing the folding sequence
• STL or STEP exports for rapid prototyping
• Brief report (PDF) summarizing airflow considerations and any stress hotspots you identified
Please keep part counts reasonable and favor off-the-shelf hardware sizes wherever possible so I can move straight into 3-D printing and bench tests once I receive the files.
