Fixed Cockpit Frame and Display
Budget: £5,000 – £10,000 GBP
I’m putting together a professional flight-sim setup and need help with two key pieces: a solid, fixed cockpit frame and the full display arrangement that will bolt onto it cleanly.
Frame
• I already know I want a fixed configuration rather than adjustable or modular, so rigidity and precise alignment are top priorities. You’ll need to advise on suitable materials, draft the plans, and, if possible, fabricate or source the parts ready for assembly. Mounting points for common yokes, throttles, and rudder pedals should be factored in even though I’m not commissioning the controls right now.
Display
• The display will need to run from a large projector.
Deliverables
1. Detailed CAD drawings and a bill of materials for the fixed cockpit frame, including mounting points.
2. Display-mount design options (with specs) and a final drawing for the selected option.
3. Assembly instructions or an exploded diagram to make self-build straightforward.
