Ferry Vehicle Ramp Design

Job ID: 40086175

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need a complete set of engineering documents that show how to build a vehicle-access ramp for a ferry. The ramp must safely carry heavy machinery driving on and off the vessel, so the design has to factor in high live loads, dynamic sea conditions, and the typical tidal range at the berth.

Here is what I expect:

• Structural and mechanical drawings in CAD (DWG or STEP) that detail every member, hinge, pin and hydraulic/chain assist you propose
• Load-case calculations that prove the ramp can take the heaviest axle weight we discuss, plus an appropriate safety factor in accordance with Class and ISO/EN standards for ro-ro equipment
• A material and hardware schedule specifying grades, coatings, seals and any off-the-shelf components
• Clear installation notes: attachment points on the ferry’s deck, shore interface, recommended slope limits, and routine maintenance points

I am open to fixed or folding configurations as long as the finished ramp remains easy to deploy and stow, allows two-way traffic, and keeps deck stress within limits. Please reference any similar ferry work you have completed and let me know which design codes (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s) you prefer to work to so we can align from the start.
