Feline-specific TMJ Prosthesis CAD Design
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I am a veterinary surgeon specializing in craniomaxillofacial (CMF) surgery seeking an experienced biomedical CAD engineer to design a patient-specific total temporomandibular joint (TMJ) prosthesis for a feline patient. The implant will be used for pending clinical review, potential fabrication via metal 3D printing or milling. CT/CBCT DICOM data of the patient will be providedDeliverables
1.Segmented 3D bone model
STL of mandibular condyle, temporal fossa, and surrounding structures from DICOM data
2.Patient-specific prosthesis CAD design
Condylar component + fossa/eminence component; native CAD format (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent) + STEP export
3.Print-ready STL files
Manifold, correctly oriented, with wall thickness suitable for Ti6Al4V SLM or PEEK CNC milling
4.Virtual fit verification renders
Screenshots/renders showing implant seated on bone model from ≥3 anatomical views (lateral, inferior, posterior)
5.Design report (PDF, 1–2 pages)
Implant dimensions, design rationale, material recommendation, and any flagged fit concerns.
