Fastener CAD File Development
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I need to turn a full range of our construction fasteners—metal screws, anchors, and bolts—into professional engineering CAD files that I can share with architects, engineers, and distributors. Each file must be detailed with all critical dimensions clearly shown; tolerances, thread pitch, head geometry, and overall length all have to line up exactly with the physical drawings I will provide.
You will be working from high-resolution scans of those physical drawings (and photos of the actual parts when helpful). From that information I expect one 2-D DXF drawing and one 3-D STEP model for every SKU we agree to start with. Use whatever workflow you prefer—SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion 360—so long as the exported DXF and STEP files open cleanly and preserve the dimensional data.
Deliverables (per part):
• DXF file: fully dimensioned front, side, and section views
• STEP file: watertight 3-D model ready for import into standard BIM/CAD packages
Acceptance criteria:
• All key dimensions match my reference drawings to ±0.1 mm
• Threads modeled to the correct pitch and length, not just cosmetic
• File names follow the SKU code I supply
• No proprietary features or hidden bodies in the exported files
If this first batch meets the standards above, I’ll have a steady stream of new fasteners for you to convert, so please keep efficiency and repeatability in mind. Let me know how many parts you can comfortably deliver per week, and include a sample of similar work if you have it.
