Fabrication Ready Portable Bar CAD
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I already have reference photos and a clear vision for an aluminum bar and now need the concept turned into a fully detailed, fabrication-ready package. Every structural, shelving and countertop element must be modelled and dimensioned so my fabricator can cut, bend and assemble without any guesswork.
Scope
• Frame structure: lightweight yet rigid aluminum members, complete with weld symbols, fastener call-outs and hinge positions for easy transport or disassembly.
• Shelving units: modular inserts sized for standard liquor bottles and bar tools, called out in stainless where load or hygiene demands it.
• Countertop & finishes: brushed stainless work surface, copper serving area surrounded by illuminated plexiglass bar top and edge trims, all tied together in a cohesive aesthetic.
Integrated features
• Concealed LED lighting routed through the frame with cable paths marked.
• Lockable storage compartments and an ice bin with drain plus an adjacent secondary cold box.
• Rectangular opening ( either for a 40"-50"sized for a flush-mount display screen/OLED TV; include mounting points and access for wiring.
Deliverables
1. 3D CAD model (STEP or native SolidWorks/Fusion format) showing the bar in both folded and deployed positions or the dissassembly (2-6 pieces for easy shipping) If it is financially and simple to do so.
2. Complete manufacturing drawings: orthographic views, section cuts, weld details, GD&T where useful, DXF/DWG flat patterns for laser or water-jet, and an exploded assembly sheet.
3. Bill of Materials listing aluminum profiles, stainless sheets, plexiglass panels, hinges, fasteners, lighting strips and hardware—each with quantity, spec and supplier notes.
4. Simple renderings for visual confirmation of finishes and lighting effect.
I will share photos, rough sketches and dimensions the moment we start; your job is to refine, spot engineering gaps and hand back a bulletproof design that can roll straight onto the shop floor.
