Fabrication-Ready Badge Kiosk Design
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I’m building a self-service badge-printing kiosk for conferences and need complete, fabrication-ready CAD work. The unit is split into a top section, a lower cabinet and a separate enclosure that houses a touchscreen; the kiosk will be assembled and dismantled at the end of each conference and every element must lock together cleanly. All structural panels will be Nomex honeycomb cored and skinned in GFRP, so I’m looking for someone who already understands the bend radii, fastening strategies and finishing methods typical of these materials and can flag any manufacturability issues before they reach the shop floor.
Scope
You’ll take my rough sketches and dimensions and translate them into a full CAD package suitable for CNC cutting and lay-up of the composite skins. That package has to include the mounting frames for a touchscreen as well as an internal bay for a small badge printer and a discrete QR-code scanner. Cable routing, cooling vents and secure service-access panels should be designed in, not left as afterthoughts.
To let our fabricator move straight to tooling, I’ll need:
• Parametric 3D model (SolidWorks or Fusion 360 preferred) with clear assembly hierarchy
• 2D fabrication drawings with full dimensions, tolerances and material call-outs
• Exploded views and a basic bill of materials for fasteners, hinges, gaskets, etc.
• Assembly instructions or step-by-step visuals that show how the three main sections fit and are bonded or bolted together
Please highlight any special fixturing or lay-up recommendations for the Nomex/GFRP construction and note surface finish specs so the kiosk matches our brand defaults once painted.
