Experienced CAD Designer for Product Prototype
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
We're looking for an experienced CAD designer to take a product concept from a SketchUp file and convert/rebuild it into production-ready CAD files (STEP + STL) for metal mold casting and CNC machining.
I would also like to note that a quick signing of an NDA/ip agreement is required before project files are shared. Attached are videos of a similar product (not our product) with the same level of mechanical complexity, just so you have a good idea of the type of product and mechanical style involved.
What You'll Receive Upon Signing: SketchUp (.skp) file of the full product Reference video of a specific manufactured component for precise context Written notes detailing how each part should function mechanically
About the Product: Metal construction with a few moving mechanical parts (locking mechanism, ball bearings) Mostly a direct concept-to-CAD translation — design is largely defined, not a creative brief Low overall complexity Files must be clean, toleranced, and ready for mold design and CNC machining handoff
Deliverables: STEP + STL files for all components and full assembly Parts modeled with manufacturability in mind (draft angles, measurements, wall thickness, parting lines) Please let us know if you'd be up for this job, as well as a price quotation you would think is fair for this kind of work
