6x6 Expedition Motorhome Design Blueprint
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I’m building a bespoke 6×6 expedition-grade motorhome and need a complete body design package that takes me from concept to manufacturing. The vehicle will function as a self-reliant “go-anywhere” home, so every line, joint, and material choice must stand up to long-term off-road use and extreme climates.
Here’s what I expect to receive:
• Detailed 3D CAD model (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) of the entire camper body, mounted to a 6×6 truck chassis.
• Fully dimensioned 2D fabrication drawings for every structural panel, sub-frame, hatch, door, and storage module.
• A master Bill of Materials listing all metals, composites, insulation, fasteners, seals, and finishes with quantities and grade/spec call-outs.
• Process map that walks a fabrication shop through each build stage—from cutting and bending aluminum profiles through panel bonding, insulation placement, wiring pre-runs, final fit-out, and quality checks.
• Key weight estimates and center-of-gravity notes so I can validate axle loading.
• File set ready for laser cutting/CNC routing where applicable.
I’ll share chassis drawings and target interior layout once we start, but the external size envelope is roughly 6 m body length, 2.4 m width, 2.3 m internal height. If you’ve engineered expedition trucks or military shelters before, that practical knowledge will be a big plus.
Please outline which CAD platform you’ll use, how many design iterations are included, and an estimated timeline to first draft and final release files.
