Enclosed Air Cleaning Station
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I need a concept-level design for a compact, fully enclosed, air-driven station that will clean modems and routers by stripping away both dust and surface contaminants. The unit must handle typical CPE sizes—think residential gateways and small business routers—while keeping airflow strong enough for a thorough clean yet gentle enough to avoid dislodging components or causing ESD damage.
What I’m after is the complete concept package: airflow layout, enclosure geometry, preliminary materials selection (antistatic plastics or coated sheet metal), and an outline of the filtration sequence—pre-filter, fine filter, and optional HEPA. Please factor in noise control, easy front loading, and a sealed exit so particles stay inside the station.
I would like to see:
• Sketches or early CAD views showing the chamber, nozzle positions, and filter path
• Basic airflow and pressure calculations that justify the design choices
• A concise bill of suggested materials and off-the-shelf parts (fans, compressors, filters) for a future prototype

Basic concept (air nozzles + enclosed chamber + vacuum)
Early prototype in progress
What I need help with:
Optimize airflow design (nozzle placement, angles, pressure)
Design enclosure layout (compact, serviceable)
Recommend air delivery system (nozzles vs air knives)
Design dust extraction / negative pressure system
Ensure ESD-safe approach (basic grounding + ionization recommendations)
Simple control logic (timing for air + vacuum)
Deliverables:
3D CAD model (STEP + native file)
2D drawings (basic fabrication-ready)
Bill of Materials (off-the-shelf parts preferred)
Basic airflow explanation (no heavy simulation required unless necessary)
Nice to have:
Experience with industrial equipment, pneumatics, or dust collection systems
