Earbud, Case & Accessory CAD
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm taking a true-wireless earbud concept into the industrial-design phase and need production-ready CAD for three plastic parts: the earbud housing, a matching charging case, and a clip-on sports accessory. You'll be starting from concept renders and basic component envelopes I already have dimensioned.
Earbud housing
Organic crescent form — no sharp edges, all transitions soft and continuous. The shell must follow the natural curve of the concha for an ergonomic fit while leaving internal volume for an 8–10 mm dynamic driver, small LiPo cell (~60–80 mAh), and BLE SoC board. Parting line at the lateral midplane. Gasket seats and microphone port array on crown. Charging contacts (3× pogo pins) on lower stem. Inner face has a flat sensor contact pad ~12×8 mm.
Charging case
Compact and portable — closer to a polished pebble than a bulky brick. Form-fitted interior cavity shaped to the earbud. Room for a 500 mAh Li-ion pack, USB-C PCB, and twin pogo-pin nests. Magnetic lid closure, subtle status-LED window. Draft angles and snap-fit ribs suitable for single-shot ABS or PC/ABS injection.
Clip-on accessory
A three-arm flexible extension that locks onto the earbud magnetically for extended wear. Arms in TPU or silicone overmould, each terminating in a small contact pad. I'll provide the attachment interface geometry; you'll flesh out the surfacing so it moulds cleanly.
Deliverables
— Parametric 3D models in STEP + native Fusion 360 or SolidWorks files
— OBJ or FBX export for rendering
— Basic 2D drawings calling out critical tolerances, draft angles, and parting lines
I can supply reference images and component dimensions immediately on award. Ready to move fast.
