Dual-Sided Hourglass 3D Model

Job ID: 40491996

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m designing a 20'' tall hourglass that will have beauty products harness on the top and bottom, with product chambers on both ends that can be unscrewed independently. I need a clean, manufacturable 3D model that captures this functional concept while leaving room for refinement of exact dimensions and material choice.

Here is what I know so far:
• Size: 20.5'' tall
• Material: I’m open to glass, plastic, metal, or a clever hybrid—whichever you believe best balances aesthetics, durability, and ease of production.
• Functionality: each end must open smoothly, seal leak-free, and be repeatable for daily use without compromising the sand-like flow in the center.

What I’d like from you:
1. A production-ready 3D CAD file (STEP or SolidWorks native preferred) with all components and threads fully defined.
2. A simple exploded view or animation that illustrates the opening mechanism on both sides.
3. Recommendations on wall thicknesses, gasket placement, and any draft angles needed for injection or glass blowing, depending on the material route we choose.
4. Final deliverables that can be handed directly to a manufacturer for prototyping.

I’ll provide feedback quickly so we can iterate, especially around ergonomics and the flow chamber proportions. Let me know which software you’ll use, your typical turnaround, and any past examples of functional consumer products if you have them.
