Dog Cart STL Leg Extension
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I already have the original dog-cart STL in SolidWorks format and a first 3-D print confirmed that the leg holding the wheels sits about three inches too low for my mother’s three-legged pup. What I need is a clean edit of that single leg part, keeping the geometry and mounting points identical so it still slots into the frame I printed. If matching the current profile proves awkward, I’m open to a subtle redesign that achieves the extra height without adding wobble or printing headaches.
You’re free to work in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or another mainstream CAD package as long as you return a watertight, print-ready STL (and the editable source file) that preserves:
• Correct axle location and diameter
• Overall alignment with the existing cart frame
• Approximately +3 in leg length (we can tweak ± a few millimetres after your first draft)
I’ll test-fit the revised piece on my printer and share photos or measurements if we need minor adjustments. Once everything lines up and the wheel spins freely, the job is complete.
