Need SolidWorks Sheet Metal Expert for Wall-Mounted Slim BMI Device Enclosure Design
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I am looking for an experienced mechanical / sheet metal design engineer to design a wall-mounted slim BMI device enclosure made from 1.2 mm (18 Gauge) CRCA / MS sheet metal.
The enclosure will be used in public installations, so it must be robust, secure, serviceable, and tool-free to access for authorized personnel.Overall Dimensions
Height: 400 mm
Width: 120 mm
Depth: 80 mm
Material: 1.2 mm CRCA / MS Sheet
Components to be Housed
Display (front-mounted)
Thermal printer
Coin acceptor (side-mounted)
Internal electronics (PCB, power supply, wiring)
Removable coin collection box
External Layout Requirements
Front Panel
Display cut-out window (top section)
Thermal printer paper exit slot (middle section)
Clean industrial look
Optional branding area (logo / label space)
Side Panel
Coin acceptor mounting cut-out
Coin return slot
Locking system placement (concealed)
Opening & Locking Requirements
Secure concealed locking mechanism
Only authorized access
No screwdriver or external tools required
Fast access for:
Coin collection
Printer paper replacement
Maintenance
Hinge and lock system must be hidden and suitable for public use
Internal Structure Requirements
Display mounting bracket
Thermal printer support frame
Reinforced mounting plate for coin acceptor
Separate removable coin collection box
Internal cable routing / tie points
Structural stiffeners for rigidity
Coin box must be removable only after unlocking.
Mounting Requirements
Wall mounting (key slots or rear mounting holes)
OR
Optional pole-mount bracket provision
Structure must safely support:
Device self-weight
Maximum coin load
Structural & Design Guidelines
Minimum 20 mm return bends for rigidity
Internal reinforcement ribs
Vibration-free design
No sharp edges
Clean bends and professional finishing
Minimal visible welding
All edges deburred
Manufacturing Specifications
Material: 1.2 mm CRCA / MS
Finish: Powder Coated (Matte Black / Grey)
Correct bend allowance calculations
Designed for easy fabrication and assembly
Serviceability Requirements
Coin removal within 10–15 seconds
Printer paper replacement from front access
Easy access to internal electronics
No externally visible screws
Required Deliverables
3D CAD Model
STEP File
DXF Flat Pattern Files
Bend Details & Bend Table
Assembly Drawing
Internal Component Layout
Coin Box Detail Drawing
Ideal Freelancer
Experience in sheet metal enclosure design
Strong knowledge of manufacturing & fabrication constraints
Proficiency in SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / Inventor / Creo
Prior experience with kiosk, vending, medical, or public devices preferred
