Design and Build 3D CAD Model of Humanoid Leg Inspired by XPeng Patent Drawings
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I am looking for a skilled CAD designer or mechanical engineer to create a 3D CAD model of a humanoid robotic leg that is inspired by XPeng’s 2D patent sketches (provided in PDF format, CN119262120A).
The model should be inspired by the concept but not an exact copy of the XPeng design. Since the original patent drawings do not include exact measurements, the freelancer will need to use realistic human-like proportions and engineering judgment to propose suitable dimensions.
Scope of Work
Design a humanoid robotic leg assembly (hip → knee → ankle → foot).
Incorporate:
Calf support
Foot support
Ankle joint with cross-axis movement
Linear actuators for ankle articulation (designer may propose orientation and size).
Ensure that the design has realistic joint constraints:
Hip (rotation/pivot)
Knee (hinge-like bending)
Ankle (2 degrees of freedom – pitch + roll via actuators).
Use human-like proportions: approx. 85–90 cm total leg length (hip to heel).
Thigh ~42 cm
Shin ~42 cm
Foot ~25–28 cm
Allow flexibility in design details so the model is original while keeping functional similarity to XPeng’s concept.
Deliverables
Editable parametric CAD files (STEP, IGES, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360 format).
STL/FBX files for visualization or 3D printing.
A basic motion test/animation showing actuator-driven ankle movement (optional, but preferred).
Requirements
Proficiency in mechanical CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent).
Experience in designing robotics, exoskeletons, or mechanical joints.
Ability to work with concept drawings only (no given dimensions).
Creativity in proposing dimensions and geometry to achieve a functional and human-like robotic leg.
