DESIGN OUR Retail Folding Cart Prototype

As a musician, there's nothing out there that mimics the flexibility of a hotel bellman cart, than can hold both 4-5 ft lighting bags laid flat and keep them from sliding off without having to use annoying bungee cords.

I'm looking to design a robust yet easy-to-collapse hand cart designed specifically for MUSICAL GEAR. It should resemble the uploaded image but be a foot or two longer, foldable in middle, with three foldable sides to prevent gear from sliding off. It should also have a small rubber kickstand to keep the wheels from rolling when standing still or on slight inclines.

Once folded, it should fit in any small SUV and should weigh less than 30 lbs if possible.

Here’s what I’d like from you:
• Concept sketches that communicate the folding mechanism and overall footprint
• A full 3D CAD model (SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar) with all moving parts and fasteners detailed
• Manufacturing drawings and a concise bill of materials so a prototype shop can build and test the first unit
• Simple assembly/disassembly instructions I can hand to store staff

Acceptance criteria
• Cart folds to less than half its deployed length and locks securely in both positions
• Frame supports a static load of 200lbs
• All files supplied in both native and STEP formats
