Custom Wood Filler Removal Machine Design

I need complete engineering plans for a manually operated machine that strips excess filler from engineered-wood flooring planks by means of rotating wet sponge rolls. The sponge rolls also interact with a water tank and rubber lips that clean and re-wet the sponge rolls. The goal is a compact, shop-floor unit that lets an operator feed boards in by hand and retrieve them clean, flush, and ready for final finishing—no automated handling or PLC control required.

The work calls for practical mechanical design, clear manufacturing documentation, and an eye toward parts that can be sourced easily worldwide. Stainless or coated components must be specified wherever water is present, and splash management, guarding, and quick-change sponge assemblies have to be thought through so routine maintenance stays simple.

Deliverables
• 3D CAD model and fully dimensioned 2D fabrication drawings
• Exploded bill of materials with supplier references
• Motor/drive sizing calculations and recommended RPM for consistent, gentle filler removal
• Assembly, operation, and safety guidelines suitable for shop technicians
• Optional enhancements—such as adjustable infeed guides or interchangeable roll diameters—flagged separately so I can decide later if I want to incorporate them

Once I have the complete package I should be able to hand it straight to my fabricator and build the unit without further clarification.
