Custom Metal Micro Servo Gears

Job ID: 39998044

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

My digital micro servo is headed into an RC glider, and the stock plastic gears won’t survive the control-surface loads. I need the entire gear train recreated in metal so the servo remains light yet far more durable.

I can provide caliper measurements, detailed photos or even ship the original plastic gears for reference. Your task is to reverse-engineer the set, model it accurately and specify a lightweight alloy—brass, 7075-T6 aluminum or another option you trust—for a drop-in replacement.

Deliverables
• 3D CAD files of each gear and the assembled train (STEP or IGES)
• Dimensioned manufacturing drawings with tolerances suitable for micro-scale CNC machining or metal injection molding
• (Preferred) One test-fit prototype set shipped to me

Acceptance Criteria
– Zero measurable backlash once installed
– Total gear-set weight within 10 % of the plastic originals
– Smooth, damage-free operation through a 100-hour bench test

If you’ve designed fine-pitch spur gears or produced micro-mechanical parts before, this should be straightforward. A three-week turnaround would be ideal, but let me know what timeframe you can commit to.
