Custom Mechanical Parts Designer
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
I’m looking for a designer based in Maryland or Washington d.c., Virginia or Pennsylvania who can turn my rough sketches and measurements into print-ready files for a series of mechanical components. Every part must be optimized for 3-D printing tolerance and strength; wall thickness, overhangs, and support strategy all matter because these pieces will be assembled with existing hardware on small production equipment.
Here’s what I need from you:
• CAD modeling of each component (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Final export as STL and the original CAD file
• A quick visual render or screenshot for approval before finalizing each part
I’ll share detailed dimensions, photos of the mating assemblies, and the functional load each piece must endure once we get started. You can expect prompt feedback so we can iterate quickly and get these parts printing without delay. If you have your own printer locally, that’s a bonus—I’m open to test prints so we can verify fit before I run a full batch.
Once each file meets the agreed geometry, fits correctly, and is free of slicing errors, the milestone is complete. Let’s get these components ready for the printer.
