Custom 9" Lamp Sphere
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m building a DIY pendant lamp and need a white plastic sphere, 9 inches in diameter, with twelve perfectly round 1 in holes distributed evenly over its surface. The exterior must come out smooth and glossy. I’ll share a concept sketch so you can match the visual style and guide the hole pattern.
I would like the design to make two Hemispheres where one can be inserted to the other. No threading.
What I’d like from you
• A precise, editable CAD model (STEP, IGES or native SolidWorks / Fusion 360) plus an STL ready for 3-D printing.
• A dimensional drawing that spells out the exact hole layout, tolerances and any split-line or access you recommend for wiring.
• Optional: if you can also print in white, high-gloss plastic and ship it, let me know your process and shipping estimate.
Acceptance criteria
– Finished diameter 9.00 in ±0.05 in
– Twelve 1.00 in holes, round within ±0.01 in and spaced symmetrically (icosahedral or similar distribution)
– Surface delivered or specified for a smooth, glossy finish
– Final files delivered in the agreed formats and ready for manufacture
Include a brief outline of how you’ll achieve the hole distribution and the finish quality, plus your lead time.
