Create 3D CAD Wave Model from 2D picture for CNC

Job ID: 40560911

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I have a well-known 2D hand painting of an ocean wave that I would like translated into a solid 3D model I can run on a CNC mill and machine in metal as a graphic representation. A clean SolidWorks file would be ideal, but any neutral format such as STEP or IGES that preserves surfaces and curvature will also work.

The piece does not need microscopic realism; medium-level detail is perfect. Think of a sculptural relief: the overall curl, crest, and trough should read clearly, but the small droplets are not required. Please keep undercuts to a minimum so a three-axis setup can reach all areas without excessive fixturing. I don't want the sea spray, the boats, maybe no Mount Fuji in the background.

Once the model is finished I will test it in CAM, so watertight geometry and consistent surface normals are essential. If you use features such as lofts, sweeps, or surface patches, leave the design tree intact so I can adjust scale later.

Deliverables
• Native SolidWorks file (.sldprt) with editable feature tree
• Exported STEP or IGES file ready for CAM
• One screenshot or shaded render confirming the overall shape and depth

After review I’ll confirm that the model machines cleanly; if any small tweaks are needed we can iterate once to get it perfect.
