Correct STEP & Design ABS Enclosure
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I already have an initial STEP model of the enclosure, but it imports with errors and the parts don’t assemble cleanly. I need that file repaired and then used as the baseline for the final enclosure design.
Material is fixed: the finished housing must be molded in ABS plastic. Please keep wall thicknesses, draft angles, and any ribs or bosses within normal ABS-molding guidelines so the file can go straight to a toolmaker after review.
Scope of work
• Diagnose and heal all geometry errors in the supplied STEP.
• Resolve the assembly mis-alignments so every mating surface lines up without interference.
• Update or rebuild features where necessary to achieve a clean, single-body enclosure ready for injection molding.
• Deliver the corrected 3D model (STEP, native CAD) plus a simple 2-D drawing showing key overall dimensions and mounting locations.
Acceptance criteria
• STEP file opens error-free in SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
• All faces knit into a watertight solid suitable for mold flow analysis.
• Screw bosses, clips, and snap-fits keep the original intent but meet standard ABS draft and thickness recommendations.
If any design changes are needed to make the enclosure manufacturable, flag them and propose alternatives—I’m flexible as long as functionality is preserved.
