Consumer Product Mechanical Concept Design

Job ID: 39974406

Budget: €250 – €750 EUR

I have an early-stage idea for a new consumer product and need a mechanical designer who can translate my rough sketches and functional notes into a workable concept. Because we are still in the concept phase, the emphasis is on creative problem-solving rather than production-ready detail: I want to understand how the parts might fit together, what mechanisms make the product practical for everyday use, and whether there are obvious manufacturability pitfalls before we commit to prototyping.

Here’s what I expect to walk away with:
• 3D CAD models (SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar) that illustrate the proposed mechanism and overall form
• Basic exploded views, annotations and a short design rationale so I can communicate the concept to stakeholders
• A lightweight bill of materials highlighting major components and suggested materials
• Up to two iterative revisions once initial feedback is provided

If you enjoy brainstorming, modelling, and refining consumer-grade products and can clearly explain your design logic, I’d love to see examples of similar conceptual work and discuss timelines.
