2D/3D Consumer Product Design

I’m taking a new consumer-focused product from rough idea to production and need a designer who can move fluidly between crisp 2D concept sketches and fully detailed 3D models. You’ll translate the functional brief I provide into appealing visuals that communicate form, ergonomics, and surface finishes, then refine those visuals into manufacture-ready geometry.

I expect to see examples of similar projects you’ve completed—finished renders, exploded views, or photos of items that made it to market—so I can gauge how you handle the full journey from concept to production.

Deliverables I’ll look for:
• Initial 2D sketches or digital ideations highlighting key features
• One polished 3D CAD model suitable for prototyping (STEP or IGES)
• Two or three photorealistic renders showing material and color options
• A short hand-off note outlining materials, tolerances, and assembly considerations

Feel free to work in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, or the package you’re strongest in; as long as the final file is neutral enough for manufacturers, I’m flexible. I’ll offer timely feedback on each stage so we stay aligned and hit the aesthetic and ergonomic goals. Share your past work, and let’s see if our styles match.
