Consumer Electronics Enclosure CAD Drawings
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m preparing to hand a new consumer-electronics device over to a contract manufacturer and need a set of clean, production-ready drawings. I already have reference designs that illustrate the overall look and rough dimensions; what’s missing is a fully-detailed enclosure and clear internal component placement.
Here’s what I’m after:
• A 3D CAD model of the enclosure that respects my reference aesthetic while locking down wall thicknesses, fastening strategy and ventilation.
• Precise call-outs for every internal board, connector and mounting boss so the factory can drop parts in without guesswork.
• Dimensional drawings and an exploded view suitable for tooling quotes.
• Exported files: STEP (primary), plus STL for quick prints and a PDF drawing set.
You’re free to work in SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or a comparable professional package as long as the final STEP files open cleanly. I’ll supply the reference files and measurements on award, and I’m happy to jump on a quick video walk-through to clarify any points.
The job wraps when the CAD opens error-free, all dimensions match the agreed specs, and the drawing package is clear enough that my manufacturer has no follow-up questions.
