Concept-Stage Metal Product Design
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have an early-stage product idea that now needs solid mechanical definition. The focus is pure product development: turning my rough sketches and functional targets into an engineered concept that can ultimately be prototyped in metal.
Here is what I need from you:
• Transform my concept notes into fully parametric 3D CAD models (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar―your choice).
• Evaluate basic mechanics, assembly sequence, and manufacturability so the design is compatible with common metal fabrication methods such as CNC milling, sheet-metal forming, and TIG welding.
• Deliver clear, production-ready drawings with critical dimensions and tolerances. STEP/IGES export is important for later CAM work.
• Provide a short design-rationale write-up pointing out stress-critical areas and suggestions for material grades or surface treatments.
I am at the concept design stage, so creativity and the ability to iterate quickly are more valuable to me than highly polished marketing renderings. If you have examples of past metal prototype projects—especially where you moved from sketch to physical part—please share them with your bid. I’m ready to get started right away and will be responsive to questions so we can keep momentum.
