Comprehensive Design for Home Food Processor

Job ID: 39910578

Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR

Project Title: Product Design and Manufacturer-Ready Documentation Countertop Kitchen Appliance - The "Home Food Processor"
Project Goal
We require a talented Product Designer and Mechanical Engineer to take an existing product concept (sketches, component list, target COGS) and produce a complete, manufacturer-ready technical documentation package for three distinct product tiers. This documentation must be sufficient to secure prototyping quotes from a global Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) provider.

Product Overview (The "Home Food Processor")
The product is a small, specialized, countertop kitchen appliance designed to execute a multi-step, thermal and mechanical process for food preparation.
The core challenge is balancing cost and complexity of the process incorporating:
* Thermal Control (Precise heating/cooling)
* Churning /light paddling of semi solids / liquids
* Filtration/Separation of liquid and solid.
* Mechanical Compression (Pressing/Molding of solids).
* Digital interface to interact with the processor
Scope of Work (Deliverables)
The designer must deliver all documentation required for a manufacturer to build a prototype:
Full Motorized Automation (Pressing) and Integrated Self-Cleaning System.
Required Deliverables:
* Detailed 3D CAD Models: Step files for all components, ready for injection molding and CNC machining.
* Exploded View Diagrams & Assembly Instructions: Clearly annotated for manufacturing floor assembly.
* Finalized Bill of Materials (BOM): Itemized list including part numbers, material (e.g., ABS, SS304), finish, and a suggested sourcing origin (China, Taiwan, etc.).
* Manufacturing Design Review (DFM) Report: Identification of potential tooling costs and high-risk manufacturing processes.
* 2D Technical Drawings: Dimensioned drawings for critical components (e.g., the pressing mechanism, inner pot) specifying tolerances.

IP Ownership
Upon successful completion and final payment, all Intellectual Property (IP), including but not limited to CAD files, technical drawings, design schematics, and the final BOM, will become the exclusive property of the client. The freelancer must agree to transfer all design and IP rights, and will be required to sign a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) provided by the client prior to sharing the core product concept.

Skills and Experience Required
* Expertise in Small Home Appliances or Consumer Electronics.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or a similar professional CAD suite.
* Proven track record in designing for low-cost manufacturing (DFM), specifically targeting the $15-$80 COGS range.
* Experience integrating thermal elements (heating plates, thermostats) and low-power DC gear motors/mechanical presses.
