Commercial Structural Detailing Drawings
Budget: $750 – $1,500 CAD
I need a complete set of weld-ready shop drawings for a commercial/agricultural project that combines structural steel with secondary wood framing. The package has to cover every element of the framing system so that my fabricator can move straight into production and installation
Scope
The drawings must fully detail all beams and columns, every connection, the bracing and truss layout, plus the open-web rafters that carry the roof. Each sheet should clearly show member sizes, cut lengths, weld symbols, bolt schedules, plate thicknesses, and any required wood-to-steel interface hardware. Wherever steel meets wood, call out fastener types, edge distances, and any blocking or bearing plates to ensure code compliance.
Deliverables
• General arrangement drawings with grids and control dimensions
• Individual shop drawings for each beam, column, brace, truss, and open-web rafter
• Connection details, exploded where clarity is needed
• Material take-off / bolt & connector lists in spreadsheet form (excel)
• A single combined PDF set plus the original CAD files (DWG or IFC)
Acceptance criteria
Drawings must align with AISC and NDS requirements, pass an internal constructability check, and print clearly at full-size (24×36). Fabrication marks should match the BOM exactly.
Preferred tools are Advance Steel, a clean AutoCAD workflow is preferred if it meets the above criteria.
