Comfort-Focused Wearable Light Therapy Design
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I’m developing a discreet, wearable device that delivers light therapy for mood regulation and sleep support, and I need a product designer to create an ergonomic concept that people will actually want to wear every day.
Comfort and usability are my top priorities, so the form factor, weight distribution, and strap or clip system should feel natural even during prolonged use. The device must allow the user to switch between different therapeutic wavelengths—full-spectrum, blue, or red—depending on the session type. All settings will be adjusted through a companion mobile app, so please consider how the physical hardware and the app’s UI flow complement each other.
What I’m hoping to receive from you:
• Human-factors-driven sketches and renders showing how the device sits on the body
• Preliminary LED layout and heat-management considerations to keep surface temperature safe
• Interaction notes that map each hardware element (e.g., status LED, haptic cue) to its counterpart in the mobile app
