Colonic Device Manufacturing Design

Job ID: 40003483

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Seeking an experienced mechanical or industrial engineer to transform a functional prototype of a gravity-fed colonic irrigation unit into a manufacturable product. The project involves designing a waterproof enclosure, adjustable tank platform, and plumbing layout, among other components.

I've attached more detailed spec sheet as well to this post. In addition I can show a picture of the prototype we built and are looking to redesign / improve with your help.

I have a working gravity-fed colonic irrigation prototype and now need to turn it into a product that can roll off a production line. The top priority is a full redesign of the plumbing layout. I must be confident in the material choice, the ability to regulate flow precisely, and straightforward assembly on the factory floor.

You will be translating the current hand-built parts into manufacturable CAD, specifying off-the-shelf components where sensible, and delivering clear drawings, tolerance call-outs, and an itemised bill of materials sturdy enough for an ISO-compliant supplier to quote. A brief DFM review at each milestone will keep us aligned.

Please include examples of past work on small fluid-handling devices or medical accessories when you reply; seeing similar projects will help me gauge fit quickly. I am ready to share photos, preliminary schematics and performance data as soon as we decide to move forward.
