Clean STEP to 3MF
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
A supplied STEP model still carries alogo and some text. Both branding elements have to disappear completely, leaving crisp, clean intact surfaces that will print well. Once the geometry is clean, the file needs to be made watertight, checked for manifold errors, and exported for my Bambu P2S as a high-quality 3MF.
Here’s the flow I have in mind: remove logo and wording, rebuild any affected faces so the edits are invisible, verify normals and wall thickness, then orient the part for printing. Units must stay in millimetres.
Deliverables
• Cleaned STEP file with logo and text removed
• Print-ready 3MF that slices in Bambu Studio without repair prompts
Acceptance is simple: if I can drop your 3MF into Bambu Studio and hit “slice” with no errors or visible artefacts where the branding used to be, the job is done.
